Born in Tehran and raised in Manchester, Sara Brassington brings a truly international perspective to her role within ETL GLOBAL UK. Her journey into accountancy began early, inspired by her father — a Chartered Accountant whose reverse psychology only deepened her curiosity for the profession.

After earning her degree in accountancy, Sara qualified as a Chartered Accountant and began her career dedicated to building trust and empowering clients. It was during this time she met her future husband and professional partner, Peter, while both were qualifying. Their shared values of collaboration, consistency, and care became the foundation of their joint success.

Together, they have been instrumental in developing ETL GLOBAL’s UK chapter, connecting ambitious firms across the network. “Each firm has its own identity,” Sara says, “and our goal is to bring them together under a shared vision while respecting that individuality.”

Sara remains passionate about mentoring the next generation and guiding firms through industry change, from regulatory shifts to the rise of AI. “The profession is evolving rapidly,” she says. “We must embrace that change and help others see the creativity in what we do.”

Outside work, Sara enjoys gardening, travelling, and family life with Peter and their two sons. For her, success means balance — and leaving the profession stronger, more connected, and better prepared for the future.
